The murder of a policeman leads the police to a well known crime lord. Framed by crime lord Tommy McNunn who wants to take over the whole of Scotland. The police investigation into what has happened to their colleague takes on a life of it's own when more and more people start dying. 

Everything changes when Tommy accidentally drives in to a pensioners car (Jonathan) and refuses to apologise. 

The story revolves around the insurance company who insure Tommy and the person he drove in to. On hearing the detail of the accident the insurance company employee David decides that he needs to do something to help this man get his precious car back and to make Tommy McNunn pay.

David is a cyber expert who takes control of every part of McNunn's life. Taking away everything little by little and all the time giving him many opportunities to say Sorry. McNunn a very stubborn, violent man who never apologises to anyone...

Lots of twists and turns. Shows us how the internet can be used to control lives and to the extent to where it can be 

I don't think I'll ever forget to say sorry again.....

This is a two part story and you have to make sure you are somewhere that allows you to download the second book. I was away when I read this and it ended without me finding out what happened. I bought the second part as soon as I returned home and it didn't disappoint.

I could not put this book down, superb book and thoroughly thrilling from the first page. 

A very current subject that has you gripped from start to finish in this time of social media. 

A great read!!

Run for the Shadows by Ella Drummond

It's  been a while since I've read a book that I just couldn't put down, but that's exactly what this book was.
I loved the style of the book switching between the historic story of Hazel and Mo and the real time story of their lives - really engaging.
Both girls travel to London to embark on singing and acting careers but how things work out for them is very different to their dreams.
And the twist at the end - whilst I had a suspicion there was something else going on, I didn't didn't see it coming in the way that it did!!! Great read - can't wait for the next book. A new favourite author.

A Jersey Affair: Volume 2 (The Jersey Scene) by Georgina Troy

What a superb second book, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Being from Jersey it brought back some of the romance you take for granted when you see things everyday. We are truly blessed.

Paige is a shoe designer who is jilted by her husband to be at her wedding but Paige decides to still go on the honeymoon alone. During this trip she meets a successful entrepreneur Sebastian Fielding who is also visiting Sorrento. They spend a lot of time together and become close. 

On returning to Jersey Paige discovers that Sebastian's company are taking over De Grays, the store where she sells her shoes. She wonders why he didn't tell her about this whilst they were away. Paige decides to keep things professional. Dismissing her feelings can she forgive him for not being truthful with her???

Thoroughly recommended read, a definite 5***** book, keep them coming Georgina!!!!

A Jersey Dreamboat (The Jersey Scene) by Georgina Troy

I literally could not put this book down. Would make a great book to take on holiday.

Set in beautiful Jersey and also France, follows the lives of Jess and Izzy, friends and business partners who you very quickly grow to love.

Jess and Izzy are event planners who are hired by a rich Jersey women who books their service and then at the last minute cancels, leaving them with no money and no bookings.  

They go out to cheer themselves up and meet a wealthy man and his two brothers. They are invited  on board his yacht for a cruise to Nice.

This was just what they needed and romance soon begins. The girls then hear they have a booking on Jersey which means they have to go back, cutting short the trip and back to normality. The reality turns out somewhat different to what they are expecting.......

I can't wait for the next installment in the Jersey series...

A Jersey Kiss: The Jersey Scene: Volume 1 - Georgina Troy

It was interesting to read a book about a romance taking place on the island where I live.

Bea's grandmother passed away and she has been left her Grandmother's home in the will. Recently split from her husband, she has to battle to stop him taking half the house, he is only interested in the money and Bea wants to keep the home her Grandmother left for her. The story tells you how she fights to keep the house she loves.

The will also states she has been left a Jersey Kiss, it is a mystery what this could be and Bea has to try to figure out what this is. Trying to find out what this was really keeps you gripped, I totally got it wrong trying to guess.

To add to the mix Bea finds herself with a hunky builder who she is attracted to and she thinks the feeling is mutual but is cautious after the hurt with her husband.

I'm looking forward to reading the next book by Georgina Troy..recommended read for anyone who likes a romance with a gripping story line.
